In 2010 Ergon Concrete International Romania merged with Ferrobeton Romania and became CRH Structural Concrete, combining the idea of prefabricated elements (design, production, transport and erection) with the idea of monolith (design and execution) and providing to the clients a new area of services and a very attractive package (economically and technically).

With a well trained engineers team in production, design and sales department, CRH Structural Concrete is trying to bring on the market all the know how used in countries like: Belgium, France, Poland, USA and a experience of more than 40 years.

Given the recent development of the company, CRH Structural Concrete is looking for a Senior Engineer, responsible for the general execution design.

Department: Design
Reports to: Head of Design Department
Subordinates: technical draftsman, technical construction designers, design engineers (junior)

Responsibilities
• Prepares the general execution design (including columns, beams, HCW slabs, sections, walls, stairs, plates, details etc.)
• Realizes and takes responsibility for full circle projects (calculation, blueprints checking, cooperation with customers and other departments, planning meetings, quality checking, scheduling/ completing time-table, solving problems which may appear during project realization)
• Coordinates the work of the team of draftsmen and technical construction designers, provides technical directions and checks the quality of the drawings
• Maintains the relationship with other internal and external designers (establishes meetings, discusses any mistakes that might occur and corrects them etc.)
• Closely works with the Sales Department, provides support during the offers preparation and informs it about changes that occurred in the project concerning accessories, metal plates etc.,
• Drafts and checks elements, details and the table of accessories
• Keeps updated with internal catalogs, design standards and any other documents provided by the company
• Based on the necessities, can be empowered with other activities whose complexity won’t surpass his/ her professional level.

Qualifications and Experience
• Graduated Construction University (FCCIA- Civil, Industrial and Agriculture Construction Faculty or CFDP- Railways, Roads and Bridges University)
• Has the projects verifier stamp A1 or will obtain it within 1 year
• Minimum 4 years relevant experience (design, preferably in reinforced concrete)
• Excellent project management skills, able to organize his and the team’s work
• Working with one of the following programs: E-tabs, Axis, SAP, Robot, Staad
• Fluent in English
